Is this available anywhere?
2 seats, 150cc, 95k top speed, 72 liter in the 'boot', ABS, Stereo and no wet bum when it rains!!
Some is trying to import to Thailand at 180,000 each, US price is $4000. Plenty have been sold in States and other places and all reviews on handling are Brilliant. 83mpg sounds good. Plenty of footage on YouTube>

Re: AutoMoto
180,000B seems quite high..if you look at it as a motorcycle with a roof. (What is the retail price of let's say a Honda Click?). It does however IMO look good. 150cc does seem like a small motor tho'..250cc upwards would see it cruising along in highway traffic much easier I think.

Well, it looks like an accident waiting to happen. How can it possibly take a bend at more than 10 kph without tipping over?sandemb wrote:all reviews on handling are Brilliant.

Re: AutoMoto
The front wheel and cab part swivel relative to the two rear wheels so they stay fixed do the ground (in theory).

Edit: Not a great technical explanation above. This is better:

It appears to have a turning circle about as good as my truck.

Looks a bit scary to me.
I guess that you would get used to it

Re: AutoMoto
You see quite a few Honda Gyros in Thailand which is a 50cc articulated three-wheeler similar to that, I think they're imported from Japan. Seniors use them as they're more stable and easier to ride than a normal scooter. For a long time there was one outside the cycle shop on Petchakasem road near Bangkok Bank but I don't know if it was for sale or belonged to the proprietor.

There's a place just north of Cha-Am called 'Big Boy' which sells all manner of obscure vehicles, it's just next to the PTT pump southbound on the Cha-Am slip road. Might be worth a visit.

Re: AutoMoto
Steve..the 'L A' cycle shop Nr BKK Bank do indeed sell Honda Gyros..dunno where they're comin from, but they'll do 'em at 36,000B each...no T & T or insurance needed 'cos they're under 50cc engine-size..(dunno about booking 'test-rides' mind??)
Re: AutoMoto
250/300cc would be great. I reckon the noise cruising flat out at 90 k would get to you after a while. But for a town runabout and shorter distance cruiser, would do the job very nicely - no more feet in puddles at the traffic lights!!usual suspect wrote:180,000B seems quite high..if you look at it as a motorcycle with a roof.
