I used to enjoy dishes like the picture you posted, but my MIL has driven me up the bloody wall with damn fish soup this and fish soup that. I'm now at a stage where I won't touch the stuff, even if I was starving. BBQ fish yes, fried fish yes, Isaan fish soup..............DEFINITELY NOT. I've had enough to last me a thousand lifetimes. In fact, I'd bloody ban the stuff if I could.

I had to walk past the new chippie last night. As I approached, I was anticipating the familiar smell that you only get from a real fish & chip shop. My sensors were set on full in anticipation, but as I passed there was no delightful aroma whatsoever. My biggest disappointment this month

I tried this burger during the week, I found it okay, but not as tasty as the Club Burger at Bon Appetit on soi 80, which is cheaper & includes chips for around the same price.

The wind must have been blowing the wrong way last night Big Boy, I went there this afternoon and I could definitely smell that familiar aroma as I approached. And the Fish and Chips were great!

Wow BB, the BIGGEST disapointment of the month was the lack of a F & c smell--all the agony that most people suffer--what a blessed life you live.

Pineapple can be a good additive on many things....pizza, and I even throw it in kaopad from time to time. A few juicy slices may even be good as a side with F&C to give it a little pazzzzaz.  Pete

Maybe I'm lucky, but I'm generally very content with my lot here. Disappointments are very few and far between. However, I was really looking to reminiscing the homeland by inhaling this unique smell, which I've always loved. I don't think wind direction had anything to do with it - it just didn't smell like a traditional UK chippie.

Guilty. Pile a cheeseburger high with iceberg lettuce, sliced fresh tomato and mayo. Quite good really. Pete

Barry (Victoria 2) up soi 80 is back in residence but not opening his cafe (best F&C with mushies in town) due to lack of staff [Mod Edit] If Barry needs to advertise his business, he can contact Admin direct.

And some extras on a burger. I am not a Brit, but there are three guys I really like to thank -- Colman, Lea and Perrins.
