Two cops pulling bikes ... "motorcycle too loud" .....
They must be running out of stupid excuses to pull people here now ...
Did you pay anything ? That's actually a good one if it was implemented correctly. Sometimes I see these 17 year old punks on 50cc bikes with as much power as my kitchen blender. They cut a hole or do something to their exhaust which makes it so ridiculously loud its beyond belief. Ah to be a dumb 17 year old kid again. Those were the days...

there is a law about exhaust noise ,but they only use it as a last resort .if liceince and tax are in order , some after market ones are way to loud to be legal
It's now at least once a week a road block is set up on one or the other side of Petcha outside Condo Chain. I've had phone calls even to ask if the blocks are there.
Today it was set up on both sides of the road and they were stopping bikes and trucks and inspecting things like tyres etc. Also contents of the trucks.
Jumped on a friend of mine the other day for pillion not wearing a helmet
I wonder if you are travelling south with the intention of hitting the u-turn to go north to MV they collect double tea money?
Just nabbed 6 Thai youngsters (3 per bike) with no helmets and lined 'em up for a body search
Getting tough. What time of the month is it?

That's like five years for some people.

People don't seems to care about 200 bath but I think 1000 bath will help so at least someone people start using their head. And yes before someone write it TIT I now, but can't get in my mind why people will risk their lives or serious damage on their head.
Also you will leave a sorrow and grief to the family and friends because of your stupidity and I find it
hard to feel sorry when I hear about an accident which maybe could have been avoided with a helmet, but of course I do. Rant over.

Absolutely no excuse.
Is the concrete any softer in Thailand than it is in Europe, USA or elsewhere?
It's all very simple - ride two wheels, WEAR A BLOODY HELMET
Why should the threat of a fine make you wear one?
I don't now but I think many thai's will put one if it's 1000 bath since it's a lot off money for many of them, but again people can do what they want with their life,I have lost my best friend 35 years ago
not using a helmet and it's still running in my head if he would be alive today if he has worn one.
People. . .the national currency of Thailand is the BAHT.
Not a "bath."
"BAHT" is one of the few words in Thai that actually HAS a universally accepted English spelling.( Check with your bank, Bkk Post, the Nation, magazines, exchange sites. . .international financial papers etc etc. . . .even most mom & pop shops and vendors get it right.)
( Unlike the name of the summer palace of Rama 6 "Mareukathaiawan" which is spelled at least 6 different ways by the people who run the place . . .and a dozen more by outsiders.)
