johnnie walkers refit / re name

Post by H2ODunc »

Hi all I was just wondering whether the refit on JW's was finished and if the name was changed after all. How much of a re fit was it going to be. Any photos of said re fit. Hoping to get down there in Dec. Cheers Dunc

No nothing has happened except that a load of banging is heard at certain times of day. I have now figured the ruse. The builders go on site early and bag around without actuall doing anything, Howver about two tons of debris is deposited at the free Tessabahn refuse solction site across the road. They are obviously disposing of unwananted crap for free from their last job. I think the rumours that it become Lolita's 2 or the seventh pocket are untrue.

Hi Dunc,

The refit will be quite extensive, as usual the builders have started and stopped - they assure me that they will be in this week, will happily post a few pics when its done. Sure it will be a frustrating few weeks of work!

It started today, after about 1 hour it looks like a bomb site. Think we will close for a few days but will be worth it.

Not in the plan Limey, just want to make the plave really comfortable and clean, offer a good simple menu and a a better selection of drinks - and top music!

Always a good move. Pictures before, pictures during, and of course pictures when its finished. When you review them all afterwards, you will appreciate the pain you have been through, but be quite smug with the results.

JW, just wondering if the new partner is farang etc, have you a theme you are working to? Is it going more along the food than bar side etc. Just me being nosey I suppose. Also nobody has said if the name is to change. Dont want to jump on taxi bike asking for JW's and it being called something else. Cheers Dunc

New partner is farang, always good to have a decent menu available, no particular theme we are working too, just simply - Really cold beer, good food, clean toilets, great music, proper pool table and desired sports on tv - what more could anyone ask for?!
