Many amazing locations you can visit (car hire?) that tourists seldom see....
Travel during the week when the traffic is lighter and head South on the coastal route to Dolphin bay or Prachuab city.
Are you looking for thrill seeking? There are ATV parks or a go karting circuit. Elephant trekking? Shooting range....
How old is your family?
Cheers,

We are in our 30ths with two kids, one 10 and one 7. Also her parents will join us. So there has to be something that suits a wide sets of ages.

Took 3 youngsters to the Go-Kart yesterday. Tremendous. Also had a Gondola ride at Venezia...

There's a few things for children and grown-ups to do. The Gyro is fun...

Not recommended straight after ice-cream!

Don't forget Black Mountain Water Park... http://www.blackmountainwaterpark.com/

I'd recommend the Hua Hin Fishing Lodge for a half-day activity with the family. Guaranteed to catch an aquatic monster. Search YouTube and see for yourself.

You could always take a boat trip, sea or river - there is a lot of real Thailand to be seen just south of Hua Hin :D

That's another trip (Mermaid Cruises)I've done and thoroughly enjoyed. The crew make you feel special, the food is excellent and all in all, it's a lovely chill out day day. Combine that with a bit of fishing, swimming and sun-bathing - what more can you ask for while on holiday?

Fishing Lodge (don't take fireworks - the neighbours are a little nervous these days) and the cruise - both great. Would also recommend Hua Hin Vineyard, elephant rides for the youngsters, great setting for a decent lunch and tipple for the adults. Would recommend going later afternoon - 3'ish, could therefore tie in an early trip to the Fishing Lodge which is on the way from Hua Hin center.
