Posters are going up around town (in Thai, of course) advertising the forthcoming Red Cross Fair.

Time to bump this one as it opened today. We went along this evening, but the entertainment was ballroom dancing to a big band - not my cup of tea. The market and sideshows were much the same as per any other 19 Rai event.

If you look at the poster above, you will see that there are a lot of good shows in store over the coming days.

I'm in that 99% as well, but I'm not afraid to ask a Thai to translate. My interpretaion of their interpretation is:

4th - Shalom Pawn Malakahm (male vocalist)

5th - Singing competition

6th - Boi Fai (male vocalist)

7th - Noi Sadem (male vocalist)

8th - Pear Wah (female vocalist)

9th -Super Valentine (3 female vocalists)

10th - Final of singing competition

11th - Beauty contest

12th - Not sure who is performing, but lighting candles for the Queen (Mothers Day).

Hi BB - just a few additions to your fine translation of the line up.
7th is Noi Stamp, but your spelling is probably closer to the way Thais say it.
5th & 10th singing competition. This is for "string groups" which I think normally means guitars and drums - pop groups.
11th Beauty competition - you should get Mrs BB to clarify what "Thida Jamlaeng" (ธิดาจำแลง) might mean
12th Couldn't read the band name in your pic, but with great difficulty (don't like to advertise do they?) I found a Thai forum that mentions the red cross fair (iamhuahin.com) and the poster reckoned the act on the last day is MO Band. I couldn't find any info about them.
