Accountants in Thailand

Is there a need for accountants oin Thailand?

The answer would be of course yes, but do people actually use them?

I beleve the tax system is still 7%, can someone confirm?

I am a chartered accountant and I am coming over in September to discuss several issues with the universities near Hua Hin. I am also looking to see if there is an y valuer setting up an accountancy practice in Hua Hin.

Views are more than welcom.
