In my daily message I explain the number of empty seats daily, and the additional revenue that could be achieved through just one or two weekly showings of a couple of movies in original soundtrack. It doesn't take very many brain cells to understand that I am correct. Of course, to acknowledge that I am right would be admission that the collective local management of Hua Hin Cinema has the brain of a tadpole. Rectification of the problem would be significant loss of face, so it won't happen.

Showing one movie in original soundtrack for 3 weeks (as they do in High Season) is just as ludicrous as there isn't the customer base to support original soundtrack on just one movie for a sustained period.

They need to MANAGE, and provide the correct mix to maximise their profit, and also provide a service that will keep all potential customers happy.

Is Hua Hin cinema independent? I doubt it, so why not go over the heads of the local management to whoever owns the group, presumably in Bkk? They might take a broader view. Might...

That is what I'm doing - writing to Major Cineplex. Many of us tried writing to Hua Hin management a few years ago.

Did they ever respond or simply ignored you?

I have emailed the bbk office a few times. Never heard back from them unfortunately.

As far as I know, I and everybody who wrote was ignored.

Probably so, but I like you am retired. I can spare 30 seconds a day to irritate them. Who knows, I might get lucky one day when a new employee opens my communication.

What is certain is that doing nothing, will achieve nothing. Trying to do something, might eventually irritate somebody enough to eventually get a reaction. Writing this response has probably taken longer than my daily communication.

BB

I admire your persistence but as you said you are probably being ignored.

I don't think you will be irritating them. Their attitude is likely to be 'just another moaning farang' and will ignore it

Good luck in your quest though

Personally as stated before I prefer to watch a download at my leisure and pause it when I want a cuppa. Sure there are many like me

I know that's your preference, and we (have to) watch many movies the same way. However, I honestly don't think you can beat the cinema experience.

Have to agree there is nothing like the full cinema experience, especially Thai cinemas which are palatial and have great sound. Cinephile dream cinemas here, so love to see a positive result from management as far as passat angrit goes

great movie in town "Yam Yasaton" which is in Isaan Lao with Thai and English subtitles.
Very very funny mix in the vein of the old screwball comedies of the 50's and the Elvis Presley Films of the 60's mixed with upcountry Thai sensibilities. It's a riot, and guarantees a couple of hours of good natured humour and plenty of hearty laughs. The gay song played on the radio with the two young lovers ranks up there with some of monty pythons best. check it out with the Thai gf. Great fun and everyone in the audience enjoyed.

If someone can write up a generic complaint message and post into the forum then we can just copy and paste into the complaints section on the Major website.

It's a pain, ok. But they really don't care about the small number of falangs who might go to the movies in HH. Seems obvious the falang market does not matter to them.

The cinema's website is down at the moment, so I can't inform the next week's showings in original soundtrack

I will update if/when the website comes back online.

The website's demise has not stopped me sending my daily message.
