Dry cleaners in Hua Hin?
Dry cleaners in Hua Hin?
I cannot find a DRY CLEANERS. A reliable Thai friend who I asked told me that there are none in HH.
Re: DRY CLEANERS
Sometime ago I was walking from Soi 80 towards the Post Office and there was a shop that did laundry and advertised Dry Cleaning.
It was on the PO side and about mid-way along, so I hope this helps

Re: DRY CLEANERS
When I first arrived on these beautiful shores I searched diligently for a dry cleaner and found two that advertised the service, but ruined anything I gave them as they were not really dry cleaned. Since then, I've given up on any clothing that needs dry cleaning and only wear "wash 'n wear" clothing.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Heading North - just before the main traffic lights on LHS
Two piece suite THB 120
But don't expect express service - allow at least 4 days

Would that be a two seater and a three seater Terry?

About 3 shops down from our school in the Wongchomsin Building (Between Soi 63/1 and Soi 65 Phetkasem Road) going South, is a laundry that accept items for dry cleaning. Takes about 3 days. I think that the actual dry cleaning is done at Dusit Thani. I have been using for several years with no problem.
Re: DRY CLEANERS
Going towards the Hilton between Soi Kanjanomai (sp?) and almost to Soi Bintabaht there is an opticians that also does dry cleaning (used to be clothes shop/ laundry/ dry cleaners). Have used them a few times, the last time a few months ago. Service ok and price reasonable.

Re: DRY CLEANERS
FYI I just walked up to my local hotel and asked if they could clean my suit since they offered cleaning services to guests.
I came around 8:30 am and they offered for it to be done that night if I needed but I'm not in a rush so we settled on next day.

It may well end up in the washing machine, as that has been my experience in the past!!Le Bar Français wrote:FYI I just walked up to my local hotel and asked if they could clean my suit since they offered cleaning services to guests.

Re: DRY CLEANERS
I had trouble finding one when I came. I searched the forum for cleaners. All I found were letters saying--My wife took me to the cleaners. Not much help.
At the main traffic lights. On the SE side by the Municipal building, walk south as if going to Market Village. About the third shop on the right is a dry cleaners . Good, usually 48hr service and reasonable price.

Re: DRY CLEANERS
Why is 'Dry Cleaning' called 'Dry Cleaning' when it's not Dry? Water is replaced by a solvent which is certainly not dry!!!

You are of course correct, but our friends at Wikipedia tell us:HHTel wrote:Why is 'Dry Cleaning' called 'Dry Cleaning' when it's not Dry? Water is replaced by a solvent which is certainly not dry!!!
Dry cleaning is any cleaning process for clothing and textiles using a chemical solvent other than water. The solvent used is typically tetrachloroethylene (perchloroethylene), which the industry calls "perc" or "PERC". It is used to clean delicate fabrics that cannot withstand the rough and tumble of a washing machine and clothes dryer; it can also eliminate labor-intensive hand washing.
