Non immigrant multi entry visas

Post by Proctor »

Hi

My partner and I have lived in Hua Hin for several years now and always had the non immigrant multi entry o visa, every 90 days, we used to go back home to England for this but this year we want to stay in Thailand. We were told that you could get the same type of visa if you travelled to Malaysia or Singapore but recently we have heard various reports saying that they are/are not issueing these any longer. We would be grateful if anyone could advise us if which is the case or what would be the best way to go about getting the same visa type, we are not married and can't get the retirement visa yet.

I went to penang for a non O, they gave it me no problems but it was for 3 months only, the guy said that was the max they did. I have heard of others going there and getting 12 month so it's the same old story, maybe, maybe not, you find out when it's too late. You can their phone number from the HH office and check but don't be too surprised if they say one thing and do another.

From what I've heard, it's all down to who you see on the day & whether or not they got out of bed the wrong side! :? I never risk it, I go back to UK every 15 months (the extra 3 months from doing your 90 day run, just before your visa is due up), just to make sure. It would be such a pain to go to all that effort & only end up with 3 months! :guns:
