PET, the other 2 channels were added just a couple of days ago. And as BB said, the HD really makes a difference. I'm still on a free trial, but will be signing up next week.

Re: CTH V 365 SPORT
I've just had a look and Channel 4 had rugby yesterday and Channel 5 has today's F1 Grand Prix live.

I have strong WiFi so does the purchase of their Premier Box eliminate the need to have a Laptop beside the TV?

Re: CTH V 365 SPORT
It does, but see my warning of yesterday. The service was unwatchable for the first half of the 3pm kick offs using my Android Box, whereas it was perfect via my laptop.
There is an upgrade to the Android Box imminent, which will allow buffering as per the laptop software. TIT, so imminent could mean days, weeks or months. Personally, I wouldn't recommend the service via Android yet - especially if your provider is 3BB. They blame the bad service on 'lost packets' between Bangkok and Hua Hin.
I bought the Android Box in the belief the upgrade had happened. It was a definite mistake, but it does work most of the time.

We also have the Android Box and, apart from the response time being a bit slow, have no complaints.
We have a stable Internet connection from the basic 599/month TOT Wi-Net service (10 down 1 up) and the image quality using ExpatTV & 365Sport is excellent watching directly on the computer monitor or via the Android Box.

Hi Frank. I'm aware of the post-race options, but thanks all the same.Frank Hovis wrote:@Pleng - If you can resist looking at news coverage for a day you can download the F1 races from Sunday night/Monday morning (practice & qualifying sooner) at http://kickass.to/usearch/formula%201/? ... order=desc and usually there is a choice of BBC, SKY or Setanta Sports depending on your preferred commentators. They are normally a few Gb for the race but they are HD (for super HD the download is about 20Gb) and I've yet to have a problem with the SKY coverage ones.
Of course, it's not strictly legal but then I'm not convinced Expat TV is either (and it's not free).
BBC coverage of qualifying has just been posted.
I want to watch the races live.
Anyway it looks like they've added the channels which have the F1 coverage now. I'll give it a shot and see how it goes. My proxy tends to stutter when streaming via SkyGO from the UK

Re: CTH V 365 SPORT
I don't doubt it - the techies tell me the problems are related almost entirely down to 3BB. When the Android Box is upgraded, the problems should go away.barrys wrote:We have a stable Internet connection from the basic 599/month TOT Wi-Net service (10 down 1 up) and the image quality using ExpatTV & 365Sport is excellent watching directly on the computer monitor or via the Android Box.

That's exactly why I don't watch it live (and of course I can go back an analyse any incident myself when watching it recorded). My proxy tends to stutter when streaming via SkyGO from the UK
Hope it's a good race today.

If it's a good race I tend to download it an re-watch it 'in the background' later in the week. Haven't done that once this year, then!Frank Hovis wrote:That's exactly why I don't watch it live (and of course I can go back an analyse any incident myself when watching it recorded). My proxy tends to stutter when streaming via SkyGO from the UK

I looked to sign up for the Free Trial just a few moments ago and it says it will be until 31 August, ie 5 days - is this the usual time?dtaai-maai wrote:PET, the other 2 channels were added just a couple of days ago. I've been in contact with them today about paying for my subscription, and they have assured me the free trial has been extended to 30 Sept. However, I don't know if that only applies to those who subscribed right away.

Re: CTH V 365 SPORT
The last free trial was 2 weeks until 27/8, although I jumped in halfway through, but it was an introductory trial for a new service so I suppose it boils down to whatever they are prepared to offer you.
For what it's worth, my free trial expires tomorrow and I'll be taking both Expat TV and 365Sport with the Android box.

Re: CTH V 365 SPORT
Did anybody watch the Man Utd vs Chelsea game on 365 Sport? I tried, but lost the last 15 minutes. The message indicated it was an Astro problem, but I'd like to know if everybody using 365 had the same problem.

Could be difficult BB, most sensible people (living in LOS) would have been fast asleepBig Boy wrote:Did anybody watch the Man Utd vs Chelsea game on 365 Sport? I tried, but lost the last 15 minutes. Re: CTH V 365 SPORT
Dtaai-Maai claims to have watched it also, but no mention of problems. I'll have another look now (the beauty of 365 Sport) to see if anything has changed.
[Edit] I still get the Astro 'Temporary Fault' message.
