Higher ATM limits?

Post by dotx »

Any ATM anywhere in Hua Hin with a limit of more than 20,000 baht per transaction? I have a foreign ATM card so it's 150 baht per withdrawal.

I haven't tried it personally, but I've heard many say that EON Bank on the top floor of Market Village doesn't charge the 150 Baht.

Tried it the other week and can confirm there was no charge. It even prints you a nice little slip confirming the amount of the transaction, with a little "Charge: 0" at the bottom :)

Took me a while to find it... it's not with all the other banks... its up the end with the bowling alley and cinema.

You should be able to get 30,000 from the yellow atms from Krungsri.

If using a Thai ATM card you can just take out your 20k limit, put the card back in, and do it again with another 20k.

I take it to mean that they let you draw 100k on a foreign ATM card. Did Siam (Commercial, I assume) charge a fee for this.... and did your home bank charge the same fee as if it was from an ATM machine or more/less for this type of withdrawal?

Besides the approximately $5 (150b) local ATM fee, I was paying approximately another 6$ (1 per cent of the transaction) to my home bank for each ATM withdrawal here for every 20k I took out.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
