Coin Machines in HH??

Post by dvolante9 »

Hey everybody, I am wondering if there are coin machines in Hua Hin, I have well over 1000 baht in coins and would like to exchange them for bills. I havent seen any machines that exchange them and was wondering if the banks will do it for you if you have an account with them. Thanks for your time.

The noodle sellers et al will be more than happy to do you that favour as they also have difficulty getting notes changed into coins.

I've used banks even though i did not have accounts there. Some make a small charge if the amounts are over certain amounts (2000 Baht I think it was). Or you could try any 7-11 - like the noodle stalls they're usually glad to get the change.

My son emptied his piggy bank. Lots and lots of coins. The bank counted them manually - it took a young clark most of the morning. Wondered why they didn't have a machine. But then again- labor is cheap in Thailand.
