So what is going on around here and where does it happen? This section is for discussion on local events, festivals, and holidays as well as activities and things to do.
It may generate some interest for those of us who have never really had a go at it. I will see if i can get someone to join me in a game to give it a go.

is there a paved road to this resort?
I had two people with me today and the only signed entrances we could find where along 2 badly potholed dirt roads both times we had to turn back because the road had deep water across it,
We were keen to check it out, surely a resort must have a paved entrance for access,i only have a small car so not going to drive up those dirt roads again, any advice on where we went wrong.
IMHO this bowling green has the wrong surface on it which is unfortunate.
I have played there twice and its just way too slow. You need to put in too much effort to get the bowls up the other end. Lawn bowls is supposed to be about skill, not strength.
My father who has a lot of bowls experience came to Hua Hin for a holiday so I took him for a game. He had a sore shoulder for two weeks after it. He said no serious bowler would play on it.
Normally, you only just have to let the ball go and it will roll up to the other end, it' s supposed to be more about placing the bowl, and not like playing at the bowling alley at Market Village.
This surface might be okay for cricket, soccer, hockey etc, but not for bowls.
I sympathise with the OP because I realize that he must have put quite a bit into setting this up, but is there some way that the surface can be improved to make it faster?
