Plug Hole Cover

The rubber part of our plug hole cover has perished. We have been to a few places trying to get a replacement today, but the best offer we've had so far is buy a brand new sink unit

Can anybody please point us in the direction of a shop where we can buy one of these:

You really don't need it. You should be able to find one of the same width/depth made out of wire mesh. They work very well concerning keeping things from going down your drain, but they don't act as a stopper to keep water in the sink. We use them everywhere here and they should be in Lotus. Pete

If you take it with you to the small Chinese shop up the Pa-l-u road that has been mentioned on here many times, he will probably have just the rubber. The shop is just past the the small Tesco on the same side going west.

I was in Soo - Li - Chi ??? yesterday...... Shop Nereus mentions..... Opposite Pheonix bar and 20 yards up the hill.....

they only have a package.... That includes the part above and the part it fits into ( Top of drain ) at 250 baht a package....

We set out this morning (before sand_dancer's helpful post) and tried several more shops en-route to the shop on the Pala-U Road - nothing.

I'd often read about the shop on Pala-U Road, but always thought the directions were a bit vague for a road with so many shops. However, this time we had the added assistance of 'being near Tesco'. When we got there, it was easily identifiable - the shop with loads of double parked cars outside.

I did a U turn, and triple parked outside the shop . Because of the triple parking, I stayed with the car while Mrs BB nipped inside. As she got out of the car, there was a lady outside of the shop who welcomed Mrs BB, saying, "Come inside, we sell everything." Sure enough, 2 minutes later Mrs BB re-emerged with a smile on her face and carrying a small carrier bag (TIT) containing the unit sand_dancer described.

Mrs BB fell in love with the shop in the 2 minutes she was inside, and has spotted a few other things that she can buy on subsequent visits.

Glad you found the shop..... And got what you were looking for....

Now find a hypnotist to erase the memory of said shop from Mrs BB's head....

^ Best hardware store in town. I'll use them any time (or the smaller one next door) before going to HomePro. I've been going there for years and got a lot of the small bits while building my house there. If they don't have what you want, ask the English speaking lady who usually sits behind the desk just past the counter and she will present you with catalogs of items that can be ordered in a few days from Bangkok.
