ZX-14R Öhlins special edition

Post by Hilux »

For 2014 Kawasaki Thailand has chosen to launch the ZX-14R Öhlins special edition.

That gives us a white/gold and a green/Black colour combination.

The Öhlins edition has the a different suspension made by Öhlins/Kawasaki, a better seat and some different styling compared to the "standard" ZX-14R.

Exept from beeing the fastest motorbike on the planet and a comfortable touring bike, I think the green/Black version is close to the most beautifull bike on the market as well.
Given those cirkumstances there was actually only one reasonable thing to do... So the deposit has been sent - the contract has been signed - delivery in two or three months.

Anybody in the marked for a very well kept 18 month old green Ninja 650 with 8000 km. on the clock?

Thanks Boz
I have tried the 2013, and it is just unbeliaveble so much power it has.
The exact Price is not official yet, but the 2013 is 920.000 - so this one will probably end up close to 1M. I will know for sure in december when it shold be delivered.

Great Price.... I am sure you will be happy with this monster....

I am looking at trying to bring my BMW K1600GTL over with me when we move next year... I have heard all kinds of stories about it being too costly to do that... We will try and get the facts when we are in Thailand during the holidays... Hate to start the Farkling all over again... Just got this one the way I like it...

Hilux,
I'm pretty surprised on that price, it's a good bit under 1M. Tempting but I see the Ninja 1000 is being released 2014 so trying to find out more info on that. Nice bike 8)
GN.

Edit: Motaholic are taking orders now but only green. Can I change my avatar name mods? Greenninja doesn't have the same ring to it...

Thanks.
I have no idea about how to get a bike to Thailand, but what I hear is that it's quite difficult/expensive.
But I hope you make it. It would be great to see a K1600 on the roads. There are quite a few great guys that like to do bike runs around Hua-Hin. I'm sure you will have a great time joining in.

Yeah.. it's a great price for an inline 4, and I'm sure it's a great bike. I just like non naked bikes better - but that just me. (as far as the model goes I don't have any objections on naked )

I can tell you that I was very much in doubt whether to order the Ninja 1000 or the ZX-14R. But I finally concluded that if I was ever going to have a bike like the 14R before getting too old, now was the time. Then in another 5-6 years I wouldn't be surprised if I chose to get something like the Ninja1000SX. But with your young age you are lucky not to be bothered by considerations like that :thumb:

I know what you mean about the avatar name, and have to agree that "Ginganinja" sounds better  . But then again... I'm still Hilux - even though I now drive a Pajero.

I heard rumours they were opening but didn't realise so soon!!?
That changes the game big-time purely on the location and I've heard the after-sales service is spot-on for the cats.

Thats good news fach
And I'm sure Nik13 will be happy to hear about the new dealership so he can get his 1200 Multistrada serviced outside of BKK.
It will be great to see some more bigbikes around... maybe even a Diavel here and there :thumb:
