Does any1 know of a good joiner or carpenter who can build a raised decking area for me.
I know workmanship in Thailand isn't always the best, so I need advice and recommendations.
Recommendstions for Raised decking area.
Re: Recommendstions for Raised decking area.
Good question, I have a deck along my pool that needs replacing.... 7 years old, thin steel support beams are rusting out and the boards are now unsupported and breaking... So I am all ears on this topic.. My other option is remove and pour cement one as a final fix...

Also, has anyone tried the artificial ceramic wood planks? I have these on top of my wall and was wondering if they would be longer lasting than wood for decking. My wood is also 7 years old and although the metal supports were replaced last year it will need doing soon.

My sister-in-law has artificial decking around her pool. I am pretty certain that it’s not ceramic but it is supposed to be artificial wood and is often used as in place of wooden fascias (of course a different profile). With this product the problem was staining the product. Her pool is a salt water pool and whichever stain she used it would not penetrate and the reaction of the water from the pool would simply lift the stain/paint in strips, in only a couple of weeks. She is still looking for a solution. The secondary issue was that when this product became wet it became very slipperyNOKYAI wrote:Also, has anyone tried the artificial ceramic wood planks? Have you considered stamped concrete? Very decorative and pretty much a permanent solution.

My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
