Just wondering why you decided to come to HH; I mean with men the answer is often to do with Thai ladies, or contracts from their companies (yes, I know the same can be true of women, but it's true less often). So, why did you leave your native country, why Thailand and why HH in particular?
I'll start: Lived in Asia for 12 years. Was living in HK when my Dad asked me if I'd like to come & help with an action/adventure tourism venture he was setting up in HH. So, I came, loved HH, and even when the business ended, wanted to stay here.
Anyone else?

Hi ladies,
I came for the first time to HH in 2005, and fell in love with it. Am currenly a part-time "Condo-HHinian", spending about 2-4 months here.
I had been looking around for quite some time for a second home, and when finding HH that was it!
As I travel about 15 weeks/year for work, it's heaven to be able to unpack the suitcase in such a paradise place every now and then. Kids and family members join on and off. Looking forward to meeting you all at some point!

Well, I did a teaching internship at a university in Bangkok at the beginning of this year. I absolutely loved it, so I really wanted to come back and teach in Thailand.
One of my Thai colleagues told me that their campus in Hua Hin was looking for English teachers. So she arranged a meeting/jobinterview with the head of the university. I talked to him and pretty much got hired on the spot. I still had to return to my homecountry and graduate. But as soon as I graduated, I hopped on a plane to Thailand
I have been travelling in Asia for business mainly -not too much, 3-4 weeks/year, and mostly to Shanghai, and nowadays India. I just could not take another huge mad Asian city after Shanghai...even though BKK does it for me a few days per trip.
I had been looking for a second home for some years, mainly around the Med, but never found what I really liked.
Apart from a few cities, I still have most of Thailand to discover...but cannot seem to find enough reasons to leave HH once there
