Steady on BG, we have been holding our breath not daring to dream, but, really good goals today. I hold my hands up and confess that I was all for selling Aaron Ramsey last season, I suppose that`s why Arsene is paid £7 million and I don`t. :D

I know, I know, early season. It's just that, it's been so long since PL has looked this good, at any stage of the season.

Having followed some Arsenal supporters forums, you weren´t the only one. All I can say is: Arsene knows!

Two Arsenal fans post but fail to mention the goal of the season - unreal! That opening goal from Wilshere was simply superb and I can't see it being bettered.

Terrific goal

Thoughts on your first goal yesterday? :?

You weren't alone.
I always liked him, even through his bad period, always 100% despite the crowd on his back (at times) & being played out of position for long periods.
Most people didn't take into account that he's lucky to still be playing after that injury, yes it was that serious!!
I think he has benefited from Flamini's return, he's been the unsung hero to our good start.

All in all a good start, but are we serious challengers ?
Had we added a top striker in the pre season & i would say definately.
Long way to go before i get to carried away, so depends how we are positioned going into January when we'll definately bring one in.

Last thought for the day? . . . . come on Villa :D

Just trying to stir some of the spuds out of hibernation, especially one in particular who seems to have done a Lord Lucan since the West Ham game

I don't know which one you mean, but any Spurs fan with any sense will be keeping schtum until after tonight's game - other than to say "COME ON YOU SPURS!!"

I would, however, like to say, on behalf of all Spurs fans on the forum, how delighted we are to see Chelsea and, in particular, Arsenal doing so well at the moment. It warms my heart to see Ramsey, Ozil and Wilshite knocking 'em in for fun.

God knows what will happen if Wenger can be persuaded to spend some more money on a decent forward.

Changing the subject, what are the thoughts on Cardiff? I'd like to see them do well, but the Malaysian owner seems to be barking mad and makes Abramovic look hands off. Should any self-respecting manager put up with him?
This is the way

Bizarre. But why on earth risk anything with an unnecessary bounce of the ball when standing next to Eto'o?

Generally, it was another bad day for referees yesterday, even HW missed an absolutely blatant penalty at Stoke. The standard so far this season has been poor and has brought comments from some recently retired from the game. Some blame Mike Riley, whose now in charge.

He used to play for you . .apparently

You're right though, it's all about the reaction today.

Spoken through grinding teeth no doubt :D

If he is as intelligent as we're led to believe, he shouldn't need persuading!

The Bluebirds playing in red  , the owners son's friend taking over as chief scout  , bonkers!
It's a bit of a circus & i can see it going belly up in the not to distant future :|

Yes it was a risk & i find it very dated, but the rules do state that it is still under the keepers control whilst bouncing.
Much the same as when he drop kicks the ball.
Eto'o either doesn't know the rules, or knowingly bent them.

The officials excuse that they thought the keeper dropped it is pretty lame to say the least.
I'd prefer they just come out & say 'we didn't see it properly', which would have been a much more credible defence in my opinion.

I doubt it would have stood had it been scored at the other end.
That's not a slight on Chelsk, nor a goad  , it would have been the same at any of the other 'bigger' clubs, especially at home.

I agree the standards have declined over the years.
The blame attributed to Riley being in charge has a lot of substance, he was useless :|

I agree about Riley and I agree the ref got it wrong yesterday, but I don't blame Eto'o, as what he did was instinctive and I doubt he, or many players, understand the rule. It's actually an odd one, in that ball in hands or arm, yup, can see that means the keeper has it under control, but deliberately bouncing the thing, meaning he hasn't got it in his arms?

Ex-ref George Courtney (remember him) said that in his opinion, it shouldn't have stood, but its 'open to interpretation!

They need to do bag searches just as they do at venues worldwide. Probably also metal detector walk-throughs and sniffer dogs!

An excellent win for Spurs but what has happened to the Spuds fans on the forum ? Only d-m seems to post regularly nowadays.
Is Jimmy in rehab again ?
Does Terry only log on to drool over my avatar ?

And Baa Baa......when Liverpool were struggling,as they have been doing for most of the last 25 years,he used to fill up two pages of posts everyday....Benitez,Suarez,everything you needed to know about them even if you didnt want to  ....now they are having a bit of success at long last,he's gone !

Anyway, very impressed with Andros Townsend.....hope he stays fit for the World Cup.

Man Utd.....5 points off a Europa League spot but only 4 points off the relegation places....oh well. :(
