Just to forewarn everybody to be vigilant, a young British chap is here in Hua Hin, trying to sell insurance, investment and savings, the lad is a known scammer and has victimised lots of expats in Bangkok. He represents a company with a top on it and is residing in soi 80. Said chap doesn't even have a work permit, living on a friend's money. So beware........!

Does anyone else get cold calls from a company with a kind of French name? Been annoying me for a while now, I believe they search through the likes of LinkedIn and other such websites for people's contact details. Have done some research on this company and they are famous for it! A-holes!

there are plenty of these around, quite a few boiler rooms in Thailand not right at all. hope the guy gets named and shamed here so we can all avoid

Personally I don't give cold calls the time of day no matter who they purport to represent. My opinion is that if I need advice on investments and the like I'll go find it from somewhere reputable rather than wait for someone to call

Soi 80 is full of dubious salesmen selling all sorts of financial and property services. Easy to spot really as they exude a sort of slime and trawl bars looking for suckers
