Which model and year Burner Irons? It sounds to me like your a bit off on your pricing if the irons are same age as the Nike woods.

@JW What would be reasonable pricing - I saw some used RBZ irons recently in a golf shop in Udon. At 18000 I left them there, since the new price would be less than that in the UK and the US. I have a Nike set, and would have been prepared to look at a straight exchange for the RBZ's but 18k is $600! It surprises me sometimes just how much people think 2nd hand golf sets might be worth.

@MOds - why did I need approval for this post?

The clubs are about 4 years old. The clubs are here in Thailand so compare the price to the Thai prices not to UK or US prices! If my price is too high make me an offer, you never know!

Reckon the irons are worth around 6000/7000 baht. Woods are old now and worth very little. I just bought a brand new RBZ stage 2 Tour spoon for 5500 baht, there are great deals out there online.

Well JW,
I would sincerely like to thank you for your interference. You have killed any chance I had of selling the clubs and taught me that the Hua Hin Forum should never be used for classifieds. I will not be using it again but please enjoy yourself annoying other potential sellers and buyers!

Just wanted to say that JW didn't annoy me at all !!

He often comments on various golf topics and is always very helpful.

If your price is too high then that's your problem not his.

expat71NL, you are totally out of order! JW knows what he is talking about and your pricing is way off the mark. If you want to see what 2nd hand golf clubs are worth, then look up E bay. You will find pictures and prices of what you are trying to sell. JW is just wanting to make sure that someone doesn't pay too much.

I tend to assume that potential customers are intelligent enough to decide for themselves what a good price is. If my price is too high then they can ignore the advert or negotiate a lower price. Interference from a third party is a hinderence for both buyer and seller. The right price for any second hand commodity (whether it be golf clubs, a table, anything) is what the buyer is prepared to pay and what the seller is prepared to accept! As JW is neither buyer or seller he should keep out of it. Why doesn't he go and stand outside the Hilton and tell all potential customers there that the prices of rooms at the Hilton are too high!

To be fair to JW, his post about the prices of the clubs was in response to a post from Korkenzieher, which is part and parcel of what the forums about - people asking questions and getting answers from those that are in the know. JW also posed an earlier question asking you about the age of the clubs, so he was at one stage a potential buyer, but presumably lost interest when he decided (that in his opinion at least) they were overpriced.

Thankyou JW. It's a pity some of the other contributers didn't think.
