Re: power washer rental
Actually what has happened is that the power hose from machine to gun has sprung a leak and pressure has gone. Because of riots in bkk, the chance of getting a replacement is zero. So if I could get aBlack& Decker hose that would do it.

If you're in HH you could try Thai Watsadu, they have hose for high pressure washers and I'm sure that most of the hardware shops will also stock various types of hose.oakdale160 wrote:Actually what has happened is that the power hose from machine to gun has sprung a leak and pressure has gone. That was where we went first, they could not help. The fittings on each end differ from company to company and you cannot just detatch the fittings and insert into new hose, they have to be factory fitted. The guys there were very helpgfful and wound endless amount of tape around the leak, but it didn't hold.

I do not know just where you can find a shop to do it, but what you need is hydraulic hose, such as used on earthmoving equipment. With the number of excavators around it should not be too hard to find a place. The hydraulic connectors are usually NTP and you should be able to find a fitting to get back to what you have. There are several types of hydraulic hose, but 3,000 psi grade will more than do it.oakdale160 wrote:That was where we went first, they could not help. I agree, I have a Karcher pressure washer. It works at 12.5 MPa (approx 1900psi). A 3000 psi hose is more than good enough.Nereus wrote:I do not know just where you can find a shop to do it, but what you need is hydraulic hose, such as used on earthmoving equipment. OK, suppose I can find hose. What about the problem of attaching the fittings at each so that they can stand the pressure.û

Re: power washer rental
Fitting is not a problem. The fittings are compression fittings where you simply need to tighten using a wrench/spanner.oakdale160 wrote:OK, suppose I can find hose. What about the problem of attaching the fittings at each so that they can stand the pressure.û
I remove my hose from the unit at least once a year and then run the unit for a couple of minutes to ensure that there is no debris blocking the flow. This is a recommended maintenance procedure. Very simple to connect and disconnect.

Re: power washer rental
Never heard of a tool hire place but with labour so cheap it is better to hire a man with the tool to do the job.

Oakdale,
Did you ever find a replacement hose for your washer. Mine just blew a leak. Gave me a 4 metre high geyser!! It's a Zinsano.
I'm pretty sure these hoses cant be patched. 120 bar will blow any tape away.

Thanks, Rob. However, I went into HomePro where I bought the washer and they are able to order the part. Takes 10 days but at least it will be the right part.
