Arts and crafts shop?

Post by moe »

Anything like a arts and crafts or hobby shop in Hua Hin?

My son wanted to try his hand at some simple woodcarving, and my little daughter's birthday is coming up, and she loves messing around with paper, glue and glitter. :)

(My apologies if the topic has been covered already. I did a search of the forum, but couldn't find anything relevant.)

No idea about wood carving, but there's a shop on 3rd floor Market Village, between escalators and bowling alley that has stuff like paper and stickers. Also Tesco stationery department has some artist type stuff like large paper and sheets, plus glue and other stuff. You could also try the various stationery stores around town. There's one on Chomsin between the traffic lights and the market street (sa song), I think.

That shop on the corner of SraSong and Chomsin is very good - excellent selection of papers and card, including pineapple and mulberry paper, plus glues, stick on decorations, brushes and paints, glitters and ribbons.

The pineapple paper is made just south of HH near the Dole factory and you can take a look round if interested.

Or maybe try up at the artist village in the Hin lek fai area. I believe they have arts and crafts sessions for kids.
