Just noticed this on the eticket receipt: If you have paid by virtual credit card, you need to present the deducted transaction document from you bank account in order to prove your ticket purchasing.. A net search turn up nothing relevant, except maybe a page at bangkokair.com. Couldn't access it because, like a bunch of other pages for which it makes no sense, the wifi operator has denied access.
Anyway, this is the first I've heard of an airline explicitly accepting a virtual credit card. Has anyone tried it?
What Bangkok Airways says about virtual credit cards
Re: What Bangkok Airways says about virtual credit cards
I must admit that the concept of a virtual credit card is new to me and I had to look on the net to find out what it was all about; do a lot of people use them?

^ Ditto. I had no idea either. I do know though that it's pain in the arse buying any e-ticket for anyone if you're not traveling. In all cases at check-in you have to show the credit card the e-ticket was purchased with. I've never tried simply giving the card to another family member. No idea if that would work.
It's no problem if in the real word when you're only an hour or less away from most airports. How about here though where some may be in Korat or U-Dorn and the family minus the cardholder is booked out of S-Bumi? A real pain. There has to be a better way to confirm things other than flashing a credit card in front of a clerk who looks at it for 5 seconds or less. Pete
