90 day reporting and annual visa extension ( retirement )

Post by musungu »

My 90 day reporting date is 7th Feb and the renewal of my Non-IMM visa for retirement purposes expires on 17th Feb, so if possible I would like to go to Immigation Dept on the same day to deal with both.

If thi is possible then would 11th or 13th Feb be acceptable - this being 4 or 6 days after the reporting due date and 5 or 7 days before expiry of the Non-Imm visa ?
It does not matter where you come from, it's where you are going that matters.

You're allowed to report up to 7 days late without penalty and can apply for the extension up to 30 days early so you'll be fine.
If going early for the extension you don't "lose" any time. Your next year will commence from when the current one ends not from the date it's entered in your passport.

I am due to report in April, but I just did a journey out of Thai and returned this week.
Do I have to report in April or does the 90 da clock start again at my new arrival???

^ Yes, but legally aren't you supposed to file something with Immigration within 24 hours of arrival back from and international sojourn (to reset that clock)?
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?
