Guitar Hunter

Post by Poisian »

Just arrived in Nakhon Pathom and don't have a guitar to pick. Looking for something good at a reasonable price. Acoustic, electric--don't matter at all. Maybe I'll even buy both if you have them and if the price and the quality is right.

Welcome to Nakhon Pathom.

I don't know of any musical instrument shops, but there's an open stall downstairs at Tesco Lotus which sells a few guitars and music paraphernalia.

I still have this one which I'd consider selling.

Didn't notice you were in Nakon Pathom.

There used to be a pretty big instrument shop there - but this was 7 years ago, mind! Though if the music scene is anywhere near as busy as it used to be there; and I imagine it would be seeing as it's a university town, I'd think it should be doing OK. Had guitars, drums, outboard gear etc. It was, unfortunately, typical of most Thai music shops - all the guitars were completely out of tune.

I wouldn't be able to tell you its location, I'm afraid. I remember it was on a big road (:D) that lead from the Whale hotel to the temple. If you were walking towards the hotel, it was on the right hand side of the road. You were pretty much directly facing the temple head on at the end of the road (and you'd already passed the music shop). If you had gone straight through the temple you would come out on the road that leads up to the train station.

My girlfriend comes from NKP, and has friends there, so I'll see if any of them know about that, or any other, music shop.
