I couldn't locate this on neither Google nor Bing maps. Would be much appreciated if someone could give a descriptionn of how to get there, as I'm having cravings for some live football.Big Boy wrote:Home at Fort Thanarat, Pranburi

Re: Hua Hin City FC
As you drive into Pranburi, turn right at the first traffic lights into the army camp. They might stop you - if you're not fluent in Thai (like me), just keep saying football, football. Once inside the camp (it's huge) drive a couple of miles through the camp (it's a straight road, so you can't go wrong). Eventually, you'll see the stadium on your right. Admission (last season) was 50 Baht. Enjoy - I wish I could be there also.

Highlights of yesterday's match:
Thoughts - well taken goal, but the new Hua Hin keeper might be better off playing in Scottish football.

Re: Hua Hin City FC
Hua Hin City 0 - 1 Petchaburi
Needing a good win today to go top of the league, I think Hua Hin forgot to turn up in the first half. Petchaburi were no great shakes - I think they only had 2 shots on target all match. One of those shots gave them a 1 goal advantage part way through the first half.
The 2nd half was much better. The Petchaburi keeper kept them in the game with save after save. Even when Hua Hin had a player sent off mid-way through the 2nd half, it didn't stop them going forwards.
I think there was a sniper concealed somewhere in the crowd because Petchaburi players were being dramatically downed like ninepins for no logical reason (other than timewasting). Unfortunately, the referee felt he had to award Petchaburi a free kick for every such incident. The referee's performance was so poor, he was disgracefully attacked with a barrage of missiles after the game.
Looking for a positive from the game, there were several. Those positives came in the form of numbers 7, 17 and 20. The players wearing those numbers had outstanding home debuts (at least, I don't remember seeing them last season). In particular for me was number 20 - the proverbial brick outhouse, but fast and skillful with it. Such a shame he was sent off.
I'm hoping today was just a minor setback, and the promised promotion push will happen.
