Leaving for Thailand

Post by Chromeman »

It is now only 5 hours and 45 minutes until I start my trip to Thailand. :D

Arrive in Bangkok on Sunday morning, and gets down to Hua Hin on Friday next week.

Really looking forward to our 24 nights there! :D

Enjoy yourself and thanks for keeping us involved with your preparations. Hope you remain on the forum once you return home.....many do not unfortunately. :( Pete

I would probably return to Hua Hin later if I like it there; and besides, I like this forum, and I also have a friend and colleague that stays in Hua Hin with his wife once every year, so it is nice to keep updated about what goes on here.

You're a bit remote out there in the North! Actually I've been to Bodø (BOO), it was a NATO airbase back in the eighties and we used to go on exercise in Norway sometimes, I've been around that whole coastline up into the Arctic and it's a pretty spectacular place.
Have a good holiday in Hua Hin!

Bodø is still a joint military and civilian airport.

Yes, the nature up here is really spectacular! :D
I live in the small city of Mo i Rana in Nordland county, and in a part of it called Helgeland that probably has the greatest coast line in the world with thousands of islands, from small rocks to big islands along the coast. A boat trip there during a sunny day is really beautiful! :D

So it is well worth a visit if you all want a change of scenery from Thailand! ;-)
