Well for all of you folks on the ground in HH and LOS, take good care of yourselves and I hope everything works out okay and stays peaceful and safe - best wishes :thumb:

Caller,

Have you moved down the road to New Malden or something. Little Korea. I only know one in London. Don't tell they are moving up the A2403 to the heart of Kingston itself. Check out your garden daily. They can fit three generations in a 8 x 4 garden shed. Before long they have squatter's rights and there won't be a dog left to be seen anywhere in the Royal Borough.

Anyway everything is very peaceful here. The kids have been let off from school for the time being and as I live opposite one it is like a holiday for me.

Thanks Guess - I'll check the garden shed tonight!!!

NM it is and has been for 7 years. You confuse the name of the Royal Borough with the Town Centre of the same name.

The neighbours are Korean, as are theirs, and theirs........

My actual neighbours are in NZ and have let their place for the last 3 years. Good tenants apparently - which is good news for me!

It is an area strangely devoid of dogs though. Never thought about that before!

Two Koreans having a meal. One gets the ketchup bottle and smothers his food with it. The other one says "You spoil that dog!"

They have been known to chuck them out on to the A3 during rush hour to get them fully trenderized before application of the Heinz.

I have always wondered what Koreans ask for when they want a snack at the cinema and do cinemas in New Malden need to post a disclaimer over the hot dog stand. Perhaps you could ask your neighbours.

Hey Guess, the last question is easy, there are no cinemas in NM, you have to go to "that" town centre for that!

But the Koreans do love their barbecued food! All the food places have tables where you BBQ your own which I kind of like.

I have to say that some of the food places are very nice but the food is rarely "stand out" . My nephew was staying with me for a while and we tried the local place i.e. the nearest one and the lady that run it gave us all sorts of freebies and told us how she'd been told the English don't like spicy food, but that she had learnt they liked it hotter than the locals (Korean).

It was still average.....sadly. I don't think we ate Dog - but the locals? (Sorry Dawn).

Bit of a shame that you missed out on BBQ Dog - were the local Koreans an apt substitute when BBQd? :P
