Yes, have a Yammy 400 Virago also, it has a plate but the green book cant be transferred as the owner before the current one has left the country!

Not sure, what exactly having no green book implies, but the quick search on google doesn't sound too promising ((

A few years ago nearly all big bikes had to be imported into Thailand and getting the legal 'green book' for them was cost prohibitive (often costing as much as the bike again) so people rode around without them and the police didn't bother.

Both bikes have a plate and the books, the latter however cant be transferred, so it is being sold as a 'non booked' bike hence it is a lot cheaper (and which is why I haven't bothered to post it).

The TDM is 100% road legal in Thailand with all the correct documents which can be transferred.

From what I understand, the Virago HAS A GREEN BOOK, but it cannot be transfered because the owner is not in Thailand (and probably will not come back).

If that Virago has been duly taxed and insured without interruption, the bike is legal and can be used without transfering the ownership. Many farang have their bike in the name of their Thai girlfriend.

So, Greenbook + valid tax sticker 2557 (mentionned on the greenbook) and the bike is perfectly legal.

Hope it helps

Mod edit: post removed, this is a classified, not a discussion on price.

GLC, I deleted your post as I'm trying to help a mate sell the bike and don't need your inane commentary on the price of things or what else you can buy for your money, and a 200cc Phantom isnt anywhere in the same league as this bike. This is a classified ad so please only genuine replies necessary.

The Virago will be in the 50k range, will have more info tomorrow when I ride it back from the shop.

I'd certainly be interested to look at the bike (Virago) for this price.
