Ducati Hua Hin (new branch - more like Chaam)

Post by Ginjaninja »

Made it to the new Ducati store between Chaam and Hua Hin and met with Khun Train who confirmed that the store will open in around one week.
:D :D :D
This is great news for bikers in the area as the new Ducatis are fantastic bikes and having a service station so close means you can avoid the treacherous drive into Bangkok.
Of course there is always Kawasaki-Motoaholic in Kui Buri... :thumb:
I have Khun Train's mobile number if anyone wants it although his English is nid noi.
Can't wait to test-drive the 2014 Multistrada 8)

Steve,
I have reviewed my surveillance footage and can confirm there were an inordinate number of police vehicles on-site... :?

Perhaps they were ordering a squadron of new 899s......

i have a xunny feeling that it will also be selling off old police trucks similar to the field full of the on the way to bangkok before you turn on to rama 2 /route 35 there are hundreds parked up for sale

id prefer the police to stick with what they have regards bikes or the fines will go up to pay for the new bikes

Do they have the full 2014 Ducati range?
Were they happy enough to let you test-ride?
Is their service point operational?

There is limited models to test drive at the moment.
Delivery will be 6 to 8 weeks.

Finally made it to the up-and-running new Hua-Hin/Chaam Ducati showroom yesterday.

Location

Google maps: https://maps.google.co.uk/maps?q=12.717 ... 1&t=h&z=18
Driving from Hua Hin: Drive North on Petchkasem road and take the U-Turn just before Thai Watsadu. The showroom is a few hundred yards South of this U-turn. Total ~19Kms.
Driving from Chaam: From the main traffic lights; continue South 9.3Kms.

Models on Display

Multistrada 1200S Pikes Peak
Hypermotard
Street Fighter 848

Models available for test-ride

Monster 796 ABS Corse Stripe
Hyperstrada

All other models have to be booked especially and I presume the bikes come down from Bangkok. I have arranged for a test-ride of the Multistrada c/w a bag of nappies. Cannot wait :naughty:

Bit disappointed they do not have the full range on display but maybe that will come eventually. We were advised that the service center is up and running but I wasn't allowed to take photos as I'm not a Ducati customer (yet) :? .
Khun train appears to be the manager/main salesman. His English is not great so bring a translator if you require information on the spot.

They have a small selection of Ducati merchandise... hopefully some freebies when you buy the bike :D

Prices available on the Ducati-Thailand website: http://www.ducatithailand.com/index.do
