Oh dear!

The spuds on here would do well to seek out Sherwood's views on his team today - not pretty, but pretty deserved! He also had a pop at those above him at the club about their expectations, which seemed to be about the buying policy.

Check out Mourinho's as well, full of praise for Tottenham when on the ball, albeit claiming they don't carry much threat, but damning about them when not in possession.

Put the two managers comments together and it's a lesson on what's wrong.

Interestingly, the beeb reported that not one of AVB's signing was in todays starting XI! That's an awful lot of money sitting idle.

I like Sherwood, I think he's quite refreshing, but unless the spuds have mega-bucks, I'd be surprised if they don't try and find a manager who can put their summer signings to good use.

Sherwood's post match interview will do his position no favours whatsoever. Really poor management, can't wait for the red side of the seven sisters to smash the Spuds into further misery next Sunday!

If we don't take all 6 points we can kiss goodbye to any slim chance that we had of Champions league.

We're shit and we know we are!!!!
I wouldn't go that far Jimmy :D .

We're still fifth and (if only mathematically) in with a chance of a Champion's League spot...for the title even :D. Soldado just got his first of the year to boot! I see a sprint to the finish line from Soldado now...

But, yes... we'll probably finish in 5th.

I reiterate, 'We're shit and we know we are!!!!' and our goal difference tells us so!!

As for Tim Sherwood's comments after the match, he was spot on, you have got to admire his honesty and Glen Hoddle saying that those comments should be kept in house well I don't agree in this instance. Too many capitulations when they go down, no fighting spirit, no leaders.

I agree  :D
As long as you don't make it personal by naming individuals.

As for the game, it was a comedy of errors, three made by players & two by the ref.
No manager can legislate for that.

PS hope you play like that next week

To quote our much missed BaaBaa...

"Feel the Moyes..."
:lach:

I'm lost for words with the United board really. The man (Moyesy) was given a team of Premier League champions plus 70+ million pounds spending money and he's managed, single handedly, to drive Man U into the ground. Those with any sense of football knew it was going to happen anyway with Moyes. The only reason he woz picked woz 'cause he woz fergie's mate innit.

United were useless from the get-go today. They couldn't create any space, couldn't string any meaningful passes together and flapped about whenever Liverpool got into the box. The third penalty should NOT have been awarded (just a dive by Sturridge), but Sturridge should have had a fourth penalty moments later anyway that wasn't awarded.

Other teams can only hope that Moyes is in charge of United next season. I'm guessing he won't be.

Same old story for Spurs today.

I thought we played pretty well. Completely controlled the game in all areas of the pitch - except the oppositions penalty box! As has become normal for us, we just can't get that final ball right... those final few passes needed to unlock a defence.

That's our season over for now. :(

Embarrased to watch Uniteds display last night. What a poor performance against one of our biggest rivals.
Here we are seven months into the season and this United side has absolutely no cohesion whatsoever.
If we go out of the Champions League and get hammered at home by City in the next 10 days it will be interesting to see if the United board retain their faith in Moyes.
Fellaini 27million GBP......what a joke....if someone offered 27 baht for him in Thailand theyd be being ripped off !

So good to see how quickly the mighty have fallen. The rest of us have had to put up with smug plastic United fans for so long.

A massive job for whoever will be in charge for the next few seasons.

I thought it was quite entertaining
Three pens for the opponents at OT in one game  , though one wasn't, they could/should have had two more

When there was talk of us signing him i wasn't to keen.
Some players just suit certain teams & he doesn't fit very well at all.

As for the NLD . . .
We got away with an undeserved 3 pts . . . . but i'll happily take that :D
The spuds played well & dominated the game up until the final third, fortunately our defence was on top form.

With chelsk slipping up at Villa it's all opened up again at the top.
Still don't think we're realistic challengers though.

Wasn't convinced Liverpool were a month back, I am now though.
I'd quite like to see Gerrard to lift the title because of his contribution to the game & his loyalty to the club.
It's gonna be an interesting final run in.

I quite agree and the fact that Liverpool play both Man C and Chelsea at Anfield, the destiny lies in their hands.

I'm afraid to say that Arsenal are hanging on by a thread. Too many injuries to key players and an absolute waste of space for a striker.

A loss against Chelsea on Saturday will probably count out title hopes out, but a win...well who knows!

Can't see Liverpool maintaining this run through the next 9 games. Although I have/hate to admit that they are on fire and are well and truly on the title race.

All set up for an interesting run in.

I think it's clear that Liverpool are serious title contenders now. They're the in-form team and bursting with confidence. Defensively, they're still frail, but on current form, do City or Chelsea possess the ammunition to unsettle them?

IMHO, Chelsea too are clinging on and haven't played well since beating City at whatever their stadium is now called.

I think Utd's woeful display has overshadowed Sturridge's dive for the 3rd(!) and missed penalty - I though that very poor and especially as it resulted in Vidic being sent off. I wonder if that will be appealed and rescinded?

And the less said about Chelseas performance, Ramires' thugery, or Mr. Foy (again :cuss: ) the better!

I couldn't agree more.

In this day and age you're not going to see many more chaps like Gerrard. Hell of a contribution to the game and ... not a twat like the other Englishmen who have done (slightly) similar things.

There's only one team I'm rooting for out of the four. And it's mainly because their Captain's hopefully going to give us some much needed boost at the World Cup with his form. That and the guy deserves it.

Just to follow on from that...

Here's a comparison of two Englishmen celebrating 'passionately'.
