Dear all,
I am (meaning "we, my wife, 2 children and myself, are") looking for a job in Hua Hin. We would like to stay there for a period of approx. 2 - 3 years. I am 42, I have an academic degree (educational psychology) and 14 years of experience in the IT industry (product management at importers and distributors). I am looking for a job as English Teacher, in a purchasing dpt., export dpt. or something alike and preferably in the Hua Hin area.
If anybody knows of a nice challenge or a (an international) company to contact in this area, please advise! A teaching job would be great, also, off course! Since we will be in Hua Hin starting December 23rd 2006 until January 13th 2007 this would be great timing to get in contact with potential employer(s). Again, please advise! As a preparation can anyone tell me what is the best way to get a house. Renting something would be great, but how can I best approach this? Is there a forum for this? Can I best turn to a local, commercial organisation? Any alternative?
Many thanks for your feedback.
Kind regards,
Niels

Re: Rental house in Hua Hin
Best bet to find house rental (my opinion) is to tour the soi's looking for rental signs. Normally the longer the rental, the better the price! The time you will be here alot of the rentals will be taken but that's not to say you won't find anything.niels wrote:Dear all,

You may want to contact the big hotels regarding work, other than that the local schools are a good bet for teaching work, that is about all there is to offer in HH unless you intend to start your own business.

Work
Dear thanks for your feedback. Concerning an own business. If we come to HH it is with 2 adults and 2 children. We first want to secure our way of living with (fairly) safe job, safe base and go on from there. Networking will undoughtedly be very important to help deciding what we should do after this first job.
Thanks again. Any feedback still welcome!
Kind regards,
Niels
