The lock on our bedroom door is broken.
Again.
I hate these self-locking doors anyway. They're a bloody nuisance as well as a liability.
I just want an ordinary, down-to-earth, common-and-garden set of door handles! No lock, no key, no fiddly bits. Just a door which closes and opens when I want it to. No more shoving the wife through tiny bathroom windows. No more fiddling around with screwdrivers for half an hour just to get into my bedroom.
So - an ordinary set of lock-free door handles. Does anyone know where I can get my hands on such an apparently rare item?
Homepro or Watsadu. The latter much better for blokes as it is cheaper, the staff don't bother you too much and there are no expensive distractions for the missus.
Where I found to be really good was the Haffele (sp) shop which when heading north is just past the traffic lights after the palace on the rhs. You have to go further up and then do a u-turn and head back towards the Mitsubishi showroom and the shop is just before there - helpful staff and good prices
Thank you all. Mrs D-M is going to Market Village this morning so will try Homepro. If they can't help she'll pop into Watsadu on the way home.
She's been informed that if she comes home with lockable door handles, she'll be served with divorce papers...

If she's passing, I strongly recommend stopping at the Haffele shop as they have a great range of door handles

I think you mean 'Haefele'
Indeed, although I did add (sp) on my first post, because I wasn't sure, but the main point is it's a surprisingly good shop with lots of door handle options at competitive prices
