Any recommendations for Toyota service (OTHER than HuaHin)?

Post by clinton114 »

Can anyone recommend a good Toyota service/maintenance facility, OTHER than the Toyota dealer here in Hua Hin? Today (for 150 baht) I actually watched three of their mechanics look at my engine, scratch their head then tell me I must have bought cheap gas. Really disappointed and underwhelmed with their competence.

tks

I used to use Cha Am and was happy with them. I have recently had some issues with Hua Hin and got them sorted but you should not have to push to get grade A service from a main dealer. It was a while ago that I used Cha Am but suspect that being established a lot longer they would hopefully retain their experienced mechanics.

Yes, I've always used Toyota Cha Am and have never had any problems with them for over eight years now, I bought my truck from them before there was a dealership in Hua Hin and have continued to use them.

Cha Am for me also. They keep records of all previous services and works carried out.

When my truck was just into it's 4th year I had a major problem with a broken gearbox, they said they had never seen it happen before, result was that they would supply a new gearbox and any fluids, seals etc.. if I paid for the labour to change it (2,500 baht). Would never use anyone else after such treatment.

I stopped using the Hua Hin dealership some time ago, Ive never had any problems with my 2007 Vigo, and the servicing was OK I suppose, but the customer service was never that great or friendly and left me somewhat underwhelmed.

I also heard they have a high turnover of mechanics there due to disputes with management.

Now I go to the Pranburi dealership, its a bit scruffier than the Hua Hin branch but thats not always a bad thing and the customer service there has always been friendlier and more efficient than Hua Hin.
