The Annual Quotes day:

Jimmy Greaves on 17.8
The gap has started before we started :D That's a good start!
Terry on 18.8
That's what I like to see - the Arse' in the relegation zone after the first day 8)
dtaai-maai on 18.8
One hour until kick-off. I'm praying that the unbounded joy over Arsenal's defeat is not going to backfire...
Jimmy Greaves on 18.8
No backfire, the gap has started!
dtaai-maai on 20.8
+ Willian (sorry, BaaBaa) + Lamela.
Spend, spend, spend!
Somehow, losing Bale no longer looks such a bad deal..
Terry on 20.8 Meanwhile -
back at the Arse' - one derisory offer for Cabaye - Mon Dieu again.
I honestly feel that it's time that they got rid of the French connection - well maybe he should stay. I'd miss the sight of him marching up and down in the Michelin overcoat  which is almost as bad as AVB's raincoat.
Terry on 22.8
Looks like AVB took my advice as I said on 20th May 8)

"Advice to AVB
Sell Bale for the maximum you can get - then buy two or three other decent strikers"

All he needs now is the new raincoat..............

BTW Zidane - I don't like to have nice and Arse in the same sentence - but I will forgive you for the new avatar. Very cheeky.............

Oh - and yes - mind the gap :lach: :lach: :lach:
You just have to love these and they keep on coming, year after year. Looking forward to next season. :D

Great game tonight, 3-3 - who'd have thought it?

Telling was Pulis saying after the game, that he always fancied they (Palace) could get a couple against Liverpool and bemoaning his own teams defending!

And that's what characterised the game - poor defending. Based on recent form, you're not expecting that from Palace, but it's almost a given with Liverpool.

Personally, I'm sick to death of too many pundits being ex-Liverpool players, Jamie Carragher on Sky was almost in tears (diddums!) as after the game he ripped into Liverpool's back four and in particular Glen Johnson for their poor defending, but you attack as a team and you defend as a team and it's been an issue all season. The Manager should have closed the game down and didn't.

Well, I thought Chelsea would have brushed Norwich aside on Sunday and tonight I predicted a draw, will City now stumble on Wednesday?

Jurgen Klopp has ruled himself out of the Man Utd job, but said his brother Klippity might be interested.

Does this season show how strong the premier league is in depth (bottom/mid-table teams taking points of the top teams) or does it show that the top teams are actually quite weak/disorganised?

A bit of both I think....This season was worth it just to see Suarez in floods of tears

Liverpool implode.

Has to be the biggest capitulation since Newcastle United’s in the 1996–97 season.

As a fan of Chelsea I think we have imploded as well. Mourinho and his 'we won't win the league this season' comments have worked their way into the psyche of the players and the loss of so many points to bottom half teams over the last month has been a big disappointment to me.

You're probably right Zid, but how this season has gone so far, you wouldn't bet against it.

Should have parked the bus at 0-3

Moyes is gone. Liverpool bottled the league. Somewhere, there is a Man United fan with a magic lamp and one wish left.

My thoughts too! I've been surprised to see Mourinho so public in criticising the players. But the last month or so has just seen us fall apart, the only two good performances being against PSG and Liverpool. I think in part, the injury to Hazard didn't help, but Oscar seemed to go off the boil as well.

Be interesting to see what the summer holds and I'm confident we'll still be in the mix next season.

Re Dozer's post:
Tricky one, though - perhaps a Man U fan could tell us who they'd prefer as champions - L'pool or City?

(The answer 'neither' is unacceptable... )
