Eastern Seaboard needs skilled labour

Post by PeteC »

Quite a dire report. The last paragraph is, "Mr Tanit said the situation does not bode well for 400,000 fresh graduates...." It bodes well for them if they want a blue collar factory job which may be their only choices, and for other ASEAN people once the doors swing open.

There will be complaints that foreigners are taking Thai jobs which inevitably will lead to us reading about murders, shootings and stabbings in the press. I hope they're doing some kind of educating about ASEAN in that foreign people will be seen working in the factories, and there are not enough qualified Thais to fill the job slots. Wishful thinking probably that the Thai rank and file are being informed properly.
