NEED TRUCK & DRIVER TO PATTAYA

Post by Brit Jim »

I need to convey a medium sized motorcycle from Hua Hin to Pattaya by truck with a driver ideally next couple of weeks.

Any recommendations greatly received!

You can send it by EMS (at the post office).

Yes another option Thanks!

I looked at this option previously for another bike much cheaper maybe 1000B ? As long as the tank is drained I think they take it…..

You could also take it on the train. Assuming there's a suitable connection in Bangkok.

Hi, I have first hand experience with sending and receiving Motorbike's from and to Pattaya via EMS post office and it works quite well. You will have 2 options, 1000 baht I think for no protection and maybe 1400 baht with bubble wrap, I HIGHLY recommend the bubble wrap option, its a real bitch to take off afterwards, the tape they use will stay there for a while but the one time I didn't use it there were quite a few scratches...

They don't seem to care about the gas tank either, every time I have sent and received I have probably had half a tank except for once, they probably stole the gas/drained the tank and it would not start because of it, was bone dry. They guy at the Post Office here in Hua Hin was kind enough to do a syphon for me from his motorbike to mine, enough to get it started so I could make it to then nearest gas station to fill up.

Using the tracking number you can see where the bike is online at every point of the journey, it should take no more than 5 days, that has been my experience so far!

Guys Thanks for the feedback - will check them out! First time I heard about motorcycle delivery via Post office thought it was a joke, but seems to be common in LOS with good reports!

In Jan paid 2K --- Man & Truck for another bike Hua Hin to BKK which I thought was reasonable. So I will see what responses I get….

I guess I could have a week end in Pattaya but I really dont trust myself :naughty:
