Cannot see the logic here. What is against showing a picture of a suspect as long as you not imply it is a picture of the murderer.

I agree. Has Crimewatch UK and all other worldwide crime series stopped publishing photos of suspects? This man needs questioning in relation to a vicious murder and I'm sure if it was anyone near or dear to you BB you wouldn't have taken the same action.

Cheers Dozer...According to that page the BIB have issued an arrest warrant for this man. Unfortunately the photo of the suspect also includes a gruesome photo of the victim so I won't upload it. I'm not computer literate enough to crop or photoshop it.

I agree with BB, there are several sites that you can find details for criminal activity in Hua Hin, I don't see the need for it here.

I respect Big Boy's decision and I know you can see the picture elsewhere if you wish. I was merely questioning the logic behind the decision; why withholding a picture of a suspect because he is not proven guilty (yet). A little leftover of the western PC concept I guess. But then Big Boy already stated there is no logic.

By the way the fact that there are several other sites reporting criminal activity in Hua Hin is not an argument not to show the picture either. A Hua Hin bar girl has been murdered in Hua Hin. I think that is a relevant topic on a Hua Hin forum that justifies access to all relevant information for those interested. You can also reason there is no need for pictures of Suarez in the World Cup thread because these can be seen on thousands of other sites.

Why all those useless messages. If somebody doesn't want to put gruesome pictures on this site, then he should give the site. Is this forum only for ridiculous questions as: Where can I find dog food or which is the best bar ???
As Hua Hin residents we have the right to know what happens: good or bad.
I hope soon somebody will have the guts to publish a newspaper like Pattaya or Phuket news, where all events are published.

Hua Hin’s criminal activity and the accompanying photos gruesome and otherwise are freely available on Thai language websites. I could inundate the forum with these reports, but I just don’t see this forum as the appropriate place for them to be posted.

I have see the victim's greusome photos.....and there is absolutely no reason to show them on this forum. The pics are already available if someone has the need to see them and uses a search engine

However I see no issue in anyone posting a picture of the suspect, as this only creates awareness and identity of a possible danger in our immediate vicinity. Providing the suspect is clearly identified as a suspect, until proven guilty, I really don't see an issue.

There has definitely been an increase in crime Hua Hin in recent years, but difficult to say to what degree, as the population has boomed and with the internet the news is more widely reported.
Talay Hua Hin is a good starting point, there are links to other sites, all in Thai, but with the help of a mixer of Bing translate, a Thai friend, spouse or partner you can keep yourself up to date.

And trying to read Thai website and newspapers can be a good way to learn the language.
