Yeah, you have to love eddie's place. It seems like every time I go in there and sit at the bar I manage to put my foot through. it.

Is the worm riddled bar a feature or are the termites or whatever really eating it?

I lost a couple of drinks through the holes in the bartop.

I been watching them eat the thing, when I’m in town, ever since it was fitted a couple of years ago, I think they like the taste of the Singha that gets spilt on it!

Firstly you are obviously mistaking key money for puchase price.

That is like saying you have just bought a brand new Mercedes Benz 300SL fo $200 when all you have really done is rented it out for a day.

If you can offer to sell me a bar like the Dubliner for 1 million baht I will buy one from you every day for a year.

As for key money that depends on length of contract, goodwill, contents, stock and monthly rent.

A three year contract at a reasonable rent with a further three year option in the area of the Dubliner is going to set you back at least two million. Ther has been no bar sold on this website for the small amount of money you are talking about. I think you might be getting confused about the 50% share that has just been transferred.

The bar itself is still owned by a local Thai family.

I try to avoid talking crap by researching and checking before opening my mouth.

Smart bit of marketing by Eddy in my opinion. People travel the world to look at the bar. They call it character.

Hi Guess, they will have to be quick; there’s not much of it left! Those termites have got a big drinking problem.
