Tavimook sports complex?

Post by LolaBeltran »

Thanks to the Draconian regulations on family membership at the Sheraton during high season,we are trying to find another gym/fitness alternative in our area and have noticed the Tavimook complex. Does anyone know anything about this place? Membership? Facilities?

Not sure whether it's got a gym as I just use the golf range. So there's that and tennis. Hopefully someone else can give a more detailed answer.

They do have a gym, it's above the badminton court right on the front of Phetchkasem, although I have never used it (I play badminton there), so no idea what the equipment is like.

Last time looked at the Gym 1 year ago I would say it's garbage. Best for the price and equipment is Sport Villa, however it's the other end of town. The Hilton gym was good back in the day, haven't checked since.

Dannie, Who do you play badminton with at Tavimook?

Is there much of a singles community there? or anywhere else in HH? or is it all doubles?

I've been playing there for just over a year and whilst at times it is quite busy with mainly Thai people playing doubles and singles, at other times we are the only one of eight courts being used. I'm not aware of any league that exists. I play with one of the other Forum members (Jumusman) although I am currently nursing an inflamed knee that has prevented me from playing the last couple of weeks - hopefully back in the next 1-2 weeks.

Cool.

How can I get in touch with Jumusman? Can't send PM's at the moment due to low post count :(

I'd like to play some games, if you are interested in playing some singles when your knee heals let me know mate.

He reads the forum regularly so hopefully he will pick this up, if not I will send him a message. Fingers crossed I will be back playing the week after next, normally Wednesday afternoons.

Palm hills 2 badminton courts are far superior to Tavimook.
