Non Immigrant O-A Visa extension window
Non Immigrant O-A Visa extension window
What is the time window before and after for the application for an annual extension of a Non Im OA (retirement) visa? I know the 90 day reporting is 7 days before to 7 days after due date. I need to find out if I can do my annual extension almost a month (28 days) early.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

30 days before, NOT any days after for the extension.
15 days before, 7 days after for the 90 days.

May you be in heaven half an hour before the devil know`s you`re dead!

Yep...I always do my extension a month early.

Re: Non Immigrant O-A Visa extension window
Is this just in Hua Hin? I ask as I understand a colleague who has the 800k visa and lives elsewhere in Thailand is able to renew his (multi entry) up to three months before it expires when he goes abroad as he knows he will not be back until it has expired. Or perhaps he is doing something different.

You'll get refused if trying to renew over 30 days before expiry.

Re: Non Immigrant O-A Visa extension window
hhfarang was asking about extending his visa not getting a new one. I don't think there are any time limitations if you want a new visa but as has been pointed out, 30 days is the maximum amount of time you can apply for the extension in advance.Gregjam wrote:Is this just in Hua Hin? Actually, looking at your post again, I see that you might mean a multiple re-entry permit. Again, no time limitations on that. It's not clear to me from your post.
