It's lost all meaning IMO, and doing little more now than generating money for YouTube and other social media.

Well, it was front page news on the Daily Mail sports online section that Wayne Rooney tipped cold water over Colleen, so it must be of world shattering importance. :banghead:

There was an article here in California that the ice bucket challenge was contributing to our drought here

I've never heard of this ice bucket challenge, but I do remember being 'iced' as a member of the Islamabad Hash House Harriers back in the mid-80s.

Unlike this unfortunate chap, we were allowed to keep our shorts on! Though the blocks of ice were much bigger...

Even George W Bush got ice bucketed by Laura Bush. I saw a photo of it in the news yesterday.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

"With everyone from former President George W. Bush to Justin Bieber and Shakira posting online videos of themselves dumping buckets of ice over their heads in the name of charity, the viral “Ice Bucket Challenge” continues to dominate social media and has now raised more than $40 million for amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, commonly known as Lou Gehrig’s disease."

I think its generating money for its original purpose also. $40,000,000 is a lot of money.
