TV series worth watching/downloading

"Vikings", the first "scripted" series by the history channel is excellent. It's loaded with good actors and writers and is very entertaining. Two seasons down so far with 9 and 10 episodes respectively, another season being filmed.

This looks more like something made by HBO than the History Channel. Take a look I think you will like it and I would be interested in hearing comments from both the Vikings and Saxons on the forum...

My top picks include The Wire, Mad Men, Dexter seasons 1&2 (3&4 were good, the rest was crap). Going old school: The Sopranos, Band of Brothers & From the Earth to the Moon.

From the Earth to the Moon

Haven't come across this series before, but downloaded it and watched the first episode last night. Very interesting dramatised documentary of the Apollo mission. Of course, I remember watching the moon landing as an enthralled 12-year-old, but this will fill in a lot of gaps in my knowledge. One of the USA's finest achievements.

There are several download options, which I don't have the time to explain now, but the simplest way to watch is to go to http://www.couchtuner.eu/

You don't need to download from here, you can 'stream' it - just click and watch.
Ignore anything that says 'download' and delete the ads.

^^ No account but you have to be careful to only push the right buttons on their pages or you will end up in virus and pop-up city with no road map out. Don't believe and get suckered into anything that says your video software is out of date and offers a download.

How do u download?

Personally, I would suggest going to http://www.bittorrent.com/ and downloading the BitTorrent software. This will then be a default program to "manage" your downloads.

The next step is to visit torrent sites such as "Kickass Torrents" (http://www.katproxy.bz/), "Isohunt" (http://isohunt.to/) or Torlock (http://www.torlock.com/). Search for the movie or program you are after, and download the torrent when found. BitTorrent should either then open automatically, or you will be prompted to open. The movie/program will then be downloaded using BitTorrent to a default file or file location you have specified.

Thanks for the help much appreciated. As I travel between Ayuttaya and Hua Hin quite often, was wondering if anyone knows if there's a site that I can stream direct to my phone (samsung) so I can watch while traveling!

depends what software is on your phone. As long as it has Adobe Flash on it (it should have), any streaming source works. If it can run YouTube, it can run other streaming sources.

Good sites for TV (and films)

http://www.couchtuner.eu/ - TV only and a rather limited list of featured series - mostly "current" US TV series

http://watchseries.lt/Watch - much bigger selection including TV series from EU countries and much older off air series.

http://watchserieshd.eu/ - again tends mainly to be current series, but some historical off air series as well.

To capture Flash video streams you need a browser plugin - I use Mozilla browsers (FireFox and IceDragon) so use a plugin called DownloadHelper to do captures. http://www.downloadhelper.net/

Id recc you register with VeeHD if you like film and TV. Free and safe, with a massive catalog of stuff to watch.

Not often I agree with Homer but I've just watched the 1st episode of Scrotal Recall and it's really good.
Sort of a grown up version of Inbetweeners.

If your comedic tastes are still in the Terry and June,Open All Hours etc camp...don't bother!!
