I learned not to click on silly topic headings... :D  :neener:
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

I learned that a Blanquito de la Habana is an extinct Cuban dog breed. Courtesy of Monika and her post about her pet Havanese. Also learned that a"hundesalon' is a pet grooming parlor in German. Pretty neat word. :D Pete

Today, I mostly learned what a "bottom knocker" was and was pleasantly surprised it was not what I thought it was.

I've lost my mind and I am making no effort to find it.

If you follow F1 you will hear Vettel`s English pit crew on the radio calling: "box' box".

Today I learned that I was becoming increasingly forgetful. Of course, I'd discovered that already, but forgot.

^ I thought it may be British grammar. There are stranger words that get posted on here from time to time. :duck:

Not just Vettel's, either. "Box" is the universal term used by F1 pit crews (and in other formulae?) to tell their drivers to pit at the end of the lap.

I thought it might have been a Mercedes instruction to Hamilton and Rosberg to settle their differences

I learnt that fridges all have hinges on the right, as you face them, microwaves all have hinges on the left.
A Chinese lady explained why. Its all to do with right handedness.
Easier for r handers to open fridge with r hand.
M/w panel is on the right side and its easier to take hot dishes out with your r hand if hinges on left.

Fridges in the U.S. have reversable doors so that you can make it open in either direction... not here though, I've checked (did find one, but it was one of the little square hotel style fridges).

This must mean that most fridge manufacturers are discriminating against left-handed people. Which makes them 'leftist'.

There are some fridge/freezers in Home Pro that have doors that open both ways.
