On the corner of Soi 77 there is a restaurant which servers Khao Soi. Sinage is in Thai only, and they were closed when we walked past, so can't say if it's any good or not.
Khao Soi also available from one of the vendors in Cicada - 80bt a bowl. Very tasty it is, too!
I've been to both the one opposite the palace and the one in Cicada recently.
The one at the market in soi 88 is now gone.
Went to the one on Soi 77 a few months ago. It was fine but you only had a choice of pork or pork. It was not quite as good as the others but still tasty enough.
If you're desperate for your Khao Soi fix ans are willing to pay over the odds then it's available at S&P. I've not had it in the Hua Hin branch, but I had it at Cha-Am and at BKK Airport. Very good on both occasions - although again, not quite up there with the one opposite the palace, or the one in Cicada
There is a new one if you head south on Petchkasem, first shop house on first row after new water park on left side. Good Khao Soi and other northern dishes. Very clean, good service and prices.
At soi 77 its a nice restaurant and Khao Soi is tastier than at soi 50.
Unfortunately Soi 77 have irregular closing days. FYI it will be closed on 17th. Sept.
Both doesn't serve alcoholic drinks, so you have to bring your beer or wine.
For those interested: A new small Khao Soi restaurant close to the center (only 3 tables and only chicken) on the road to Palau between Huay Mongkol soi 1 and 3. Closed on wednesday.
There's a new northern-style restaurant in soi 94, called Krua Lapoon Phuket, which has Khao Soi on the menu. It's passed the railway crossing and just before the road starts veering to the right. As you're driving down you'll need to look for a yellow sign with red Thai writing - on the left hand side if you're driving down from the railway crossing and away from Phetkaseam Rd. They do have a sign with the name in English in front of the restaurant, but you won't see it when you're driving.
There's now Khao Soi in the soi 88 outdoor food court in the evening (straight after the railway, past the 7-11, and to your left). It opened about 3 weeks ago in the new area they have there, and it's quite good!
It's the second or third stall to the right of the row of public sinks they installed.
There's a new Chiang Mai food restaurant opposite the Wittayakhom school on the road connecting soi 88 and 94. It's the shop with the green awning, right next to a book store.
The Khao Soi (only Gai at the moment) and Sai Ua are fantastic and cheap (30 baht and 50 baht). Place spotlessly clean.
moater, Pls. be more precise. At market 88 Khao soi stall where is it exactly ? The public sinks you mention are close to the music stand. I don't see any other.
