Something is going to arrive Dannie. They have Hua Hin down for 46-30-18mm Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and where I am 40-47-31. I'll be happy if we get half. Pete

I stopped looking at the weather forecast. The last time I did was a few weeks ago, the likely hood of rain was 40% or for 4 days, followed by 80% for two days. You would imagine with those odds it would rain at least once---- not a drop.

It came a day early Pete, we had about 1cm this evening starting about 9pm and lasting nearly an hour. Because the ground is so dry there's quite a lot of standing water but hopefully that will soak in overnight, ready for any more that comes tomorrow.

I had to go to Khao Takiab this evening. Before I left home, the guy I was going to see asked if I was sure because it was raining so hard. I wasn't aware of it raining, and when I got the car out of the car port it wasn't.

There was light rain on Petchkasem, and when I drove into Khao Takiab, it was pouring down, with widespread flooding.

When I returned home about 90 minutes later, it was still bone dry at my house.

Must be a good one - I'm sat here enjoying the footie, and the whole family are now sat with me. Is nothing sacred?

Weather in Hua Hin & Thailand

Well, no-one here is getting any sleep soon!

Edit: lightning touched down about 1/2 mile from me and, I think, hit a tree. It's still burning. Mrs pdm3547 is still asleep!

I reckon we've had 20-30 mm since last night, so by the sound of it at least as much still to come!! Thailand, either not enough or too much. :thumb:

And it's still coming down pretty hard where I live. Nice, it's made it a lot cooler than yesterday which was one of the hottest days yet.
My brain is like an Internet browser; 12 tabs are open and 5 of them are not responding, there's a GIF playing in an endless loop,... and where is that annoying music coming from?

Yes, I normally sit outside without a top on, but I have had to secumb and put a shirt on. After a short lapse, the heavens are opening again
