CHONBURI — A 40-year-old Pakistani tourist says he was drugged and robbed by two Thai prostitutes in Pattaya, a popular tourist destination east of Bangkok known for its red-light district.
The tourist told police that one of the women dropped something in his drink while they were walking back to his hotel, but that he didn’t think anything of it at the time.
He then reportedly began to feel dizzy and fatigued, and cannot remember what happened after he and the two women decided to take a minibus back to his resort.
The man told police he woke up yesterday morning to find his room ransacked with 5,000 baht, 700 US dollars, 200 Euros, and his mobile phone missing. He estimated the total loss to be at least 50,000 baht.
Pol.Lt. Anocha Nanthachai, an officer in charge of the investigation, said police are studying CCTV footage and questioning witnesses to identity the two women.
Although prostitution is outlawed in Thailand, Pol.Lt. Anocha did not mention any possible legal action against the Pakistani for allegedly agreeing to buy sexual services from the two suspects.

I was once pally with a tourist policeman here in HH and he used to pop in to bars and chat to me about a variety of things. One day he asked me what a BG costs in the UK. I explained that we didn't really have that sort of thing in the UK and anyway prostitution is not legal in pubs. He smiled and said 'well it's not legal here in Thailand but we all need a screw now and again don't we?'

Re: Confusing reporting
Well, yes, I didn't actually mean that part. I was wondering why would they report that the police said about the legal actions against the Pakistani man. How many times have you heard that someone's been prosecuted for agreeing to sleep with a prostitute while he's gone to complain that his valuable have been stolen?
To me it sounds like the reporter is saying: "Look how lucky the man got, they won't raise charges against him." Like he was the bigger culprit.

Re: Confusing reporting
Let that be a lesson Mr Paki, give up your perverted ways, spend your time shipping body parts, that is NOT a crime.
