Post by dundrillin »

What events are planned in HuaHin for the New Year? This will be my first Thai Hogmanay.

Depends on what your after. Good meal and traditional 'ringing in' in which case hotels and restaurants will provide the backdrop or do you want a chaotic fire cracker street event in which case hit the bar strips in town. Never a dull moment I can assure you. OR you may want to combine the both.

Thanks Richard, I have also seen some beach festivities in previous posts, so possibly Binta and Beach.

There is usually some sort of Thai party at 19 Rai. Live music, beer, monks, fireworks etc.

Well I know pharvey likes to stun Terry's fish and amaze it's fishermen at the Fishing Lodge but Romantic bar down Binta has it's own visiting pyrotechnic (Uncle Tom) who occasionally sabotages the bar with a startling display.

Some knew this was coming. Those that didn't were mere charred remains inside the bar

[Mod Edit] Should be sorted now.

Pretty much all hotels have firework displays along the beach, so that's always a fairly spectacular place to be as the clock strikes.
