This is the Hua Hin City side of my conversation:
New shirt will be available once we do the official team presentation. Timing to be announced in the coming days
We will announce the date at which we will present all the players for the 2015 season at the venue in Hua Hin town
Tickets can be obtained at the entrance of the Fort Tanarat stadium
It sounds like the same event to me. I've seen a similar event at Market Village before, where one of the main objectives was to sell shirts. I'd guess releasing the new strip will coincide with the Market Village presentation. It makes sense, but TIT :)

I was talking to him again today actually, he said the flights have been fully booked but they have now booked a different route(via Lisbon and Frankfurt) and will arrive Thursday.

There is apparently going to be something arranged for Friday at Market Village to introduce the new players and the new strips. The strips we wore last week and today are NOT the new strips incidentally.

I was also informed that Nobby is definitely coming! I don't want to mention the name but he also mentioned another well known former international and English Premiership player would be coming here. Got the impression it would be on the coaching side(teaming up with Nobby?) But he's young enough to still play possibly!
Yes, having listened again (without a Thai soap blaring in the background) you are right - 'foreign' players

I sincerely hope that these guys don't play next week. Get off a plane (via Lisbon and Frankfurt - where are they coming from?) Thursday, presented to the public Friday, league football Saturday. Even good players would struggle with that kind of schedule, let alone players bonding with new team mates. It would be stupid on both sides.

IMHO this whole debacle is laughable. Nobby's coming, no he's not, yes he is, no he's not............... We're already 2 competitive games into the season. Maybe he'll arrive in time to WATCH his team play their first league match. How long before he can actually make a difference? To me this rings of getting the money right, and to hell with the football. I am passionate for our little football club, but something doesn't seem quite right.

Having said the above, there's no doubt that we've got some good players, and we need somebody to get them playing as a team, but that should have started on day 1 of pre-season training. I still think yesterday was the worst I've seen Hua Hin City play as a team - we had 11 individuals out there  maybe the Brazilians will fit in well next Saturday :?

I agree with Big Boy regarding this charade about Solano and these players ''the like we have never seen in Thailand before''. The excuses we have heard already are turning us into a laughing stock. We are now 6 days away from the start of the League season and they are still not here. There are hundreds of flights a day coming to Thailand so there should be no excuses. Push comes to shove they could fly in to Malaysia or Singapore then fly to Thailand. It is a shambles - just like the performance yesterday!! After watching that rubbish yesterday we don`t need 3 Brazilians we need 11. Only our ''band'' kept me from falling into a coma. We were dreadful - and that is being polite. Couldn`t pass, we seem to tackle en-mass giving our defenders more problems than they can cope with. They actually defended quite well - because they had to, and we have absolutely nothing up front. I looked across to Big Boy for some encouragement only to see him and Mrs BB about to fall asleep - and we still hadn`t played the regulation 90 minutes. Hopefully this was a bad day at the office but someone has to beat this out of them and quick. I would also suggest that they bring their boots with them as they will ALL be in the team for Saturday!!!

Was the previous event ticketed? Would seem crazy to limit numbers when you want as much exposure as possible. I guess we'll find out in the coming days.

There are definitely 2 seperate events coming up though, the one on the 23rd at the water park, it would seem all our business has to be tied up by then(i.e Nobby) in order to be officially introduced.

I'm in agreement, I'd like to have seen everything sorted out sooner. New managers and players take time to settle in, however, we've played 2 competitive games and won 2 thus far. Yesterday against one of the stronger teams in the league.

I've been encouraged to hear that there has been a lot going on in the background, and the stories we've heard aren't bullshit, they're just taking slightly longer than we'd all hoped.

There is a huge ambition about the club, the premier league in hopefully not too distant future is the aim. Of course it is about the money as well though, if you get the business side right, it gives you a chance on the park. There's no doubting Nobby will drum up interest and ultimately, hopefully, put bums on seats.

We are still at the start of a long and exciting journey, there's changes to be made and they will take time but it is exciting times to be involved with the club!

He mentioned a specific airline, it's probably arranged through UHT(I'm guessing) and most likely business class seats. They're in Sao Paulo, Brazil just now. It has been sorted now though, albeit with a 38 hour journey time. They have been training every day and are fit but pperhaps Saturday will come too soon after their mammoth journey, would be surprised if they didn't get some game time though.

No, definitely not - they were targetting MV trade in general, rather than supporters (selling Hua Hin City merchandise). It sounds as if the guy(s) talking to me were getting a little confused (their English will always be better than my Thai  ).

For the sake of retaining our sponsors, we have to launch the new kit before Saturday. It makes sense to make a few bob at the same time. Hua Hin City shirts are usually quite attractive, and sell well.

The 23rd sounds as if it will be a formal do for the knobs (who only turn up for such occasions), and a few supporters - not for me I'm afraid. I left formal behind when I left the UK.

I am still not going to believe it until I see it. After last week's game, the talk was the Brazilians were going to arrive last Thursday. After this week's game they're arriving next Thursday.

Who is managing this move of 3rd rate Brazilians, the best of which couldn't command a regular place in the 6th tier of UK football? If I was in charge, I'd like to think I was calling the shots, not being rode rough shod over. OK, there may be legitimate reasons, but the knowledge being released to the public does not come across good.

There was similar ambition for the Green Army and look where they've ended up.

Results will do that. At the moment he is a new manager with absolutely no managerial pedigree to speak of. Hopefully that will have changed by the end of the season. IMHO if he cared about the football, he'd have been here weeks ago to prepare for this season. If he succeeds, it won't be his team that does it. Do you remember Dave Mackay taking over from Brian Clough at Derby? Yes, he had success, but with Cloughies team. The longer this debacle goes on, the more I'm becoming disenchanted with the prospect. I was actually quite enthusiastic when it started.

That journey should have started in January. Fortunately, the standard is not that good in our league - we've just proved that by beating 2 teams, fielding a side of mainly reserves.

I just hope that whatever happens, happens soon, and we get a settled side ASAP.

Using my phone and the quotes are awkward but to answer a few of your points: To be fair last week, he expected the flights wouldn't be a problem, hence the Thursday at latest remark.... The flights obviously have been a problem and have caused the delay.... Now it is all booked up and they will arrive on Thursday. I've no reason to suspect he's lying.

If results put bums on seats how come it wasn't full to capacity last season when we had an excellent home record. Yes results help but hopefully Solano will drum up interest from people who hadn't normally even considered going to a game previously. I think there is potential for getting a lot more expat farangs along, we're already seeing an increase, IMO it will continue to increase.

Yes, it's 1 thing having ambition but I believe the club has the potential as well and given time will get things right.

By the way, I'm too young to remember Dave McKay taking over from Clough but I get the point.

When the football club eventually have a stadium in Hua Hin, I am very confident that the viewing public will increase in numbers - especially among the farang support. I dont think any of us doubt that. We all love our football but for some even going to Pranburi is maybe stretching it a bit for them. Having all these names in tow only adds to the profile of the club with their ambitions. I am looking forward to their arrival - and it is not a moment too soon. They should have been here 2 months ago!! I am concerned that if it takes a few months to get the show on the road it might be too late for this season. We can`t really wait. We should have done it last season but after a long league season where we were chasing for most of it, we ran out of puff when it came to the Champions League and after getting pummelled at Prachuap we were always seemed to be chasing it again. Our home form was excellent but we were very poor away from home and it cost us dearly. We had a fairly large squad but we didn`t seem to have strength in depth. We have to get it right and from Day 1. We have to show we mean business and then EVERYBODY will take notice and know who we are - and you cannot get better publicity than that. The commercial side will no doubt expand aswell and if there is a proper avenue where farang can buy their XXXL size club shirts and club merchandise, I for one, will be a happy man.

Bik Dam has just put a statement on the club's Facebook acknowledging we made hard work of the win yesterday but pointed out we started with all Thai outfield players as we're still waiting on the Brazilians arrival. He confirmed they will arrive this week(he said Tuesday but I believe that is when they leave Brazil) he also acknowledged Tonburi are a strong team but we still managed the win.

He also mentioned the new stadium, confirming it will be ready in 4 months(same as I heard last week)

If Tonburi are one of the strongest teams in the league, I feel we are already a level above the rest of this league. By the time the team settles, we should be far superior. I'm confident we will have enough to qualify for the Champions league again..... Then that will be the real test.... Team should have plenty time to settle by then you would hope!

If we stick with Warrix, seems logical as they are half owners, I see most products on their website go up to 7XL.
